My Sister's Wedding & Shingles
Post date: Jun 9, 2018 1:44:12 AM
What I thought was a Spider bite, and painfully revealed itself as #Shingles, became a realization from the universe! They say that shingles is caused by stress.
After battling 10 days of this annoying and painful surprise, and having to cancel a (what I thought) was an important show, I realized the universe was trying to remind me that I was caring way too much. I was putting others before myself and in the end only hurting my own mind, body, and spirit. 1 day before my sister's wedding, I finished taking my mandatory pills from the doctor and was able to focus on the last big project that had been haunting me for a year...
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
1 Corinthians 13:4–8
I see your smiles and the warm energy you two have when you’re together. And when my My Manang Krys, talks about you ANDRE, good and maybe sometimes bad, there is still this positive energy I feel... of patience, kindness and all the things that love is.
You haven’t known each other as long as most people would expect for a couple to engage and become married, but it’s the simplicity of this new love that signifies what many of us forget. We become so caught up in our own personal problems and worries, that we forget to simply let go, enjoy this short time we have together, and just love.
I look at my beautiful big sister, and I see she has been so patient for this day.
This is the fairytale wedding that she has not only dreamed of but has prayed for.
This special day could not be for any one else so deserving. I am so happy that my sister has found someone who she can grow with, not only spiritually but through life’s challenging and sometimes unexpected moments and simply love.
This is the only photo I had the chance to take today! For being the maid of honor, the wedding singer, and the MC... I couldn’t have taken a better selfie! These two are my love, my light, and the only ones I would die for. THANK YOU to every single person who helped make today a success! Congratulations Emily and Andre! #hafrianwedding
